Shepherding a Child’s Heart

Cornerstone will be hosting a Shepherding a Child’s Heart parenting course on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 beginning March 7th. Child care will be provided and there is no charge for the course. Each class session will consist of a video lecture by Dr. Tedd Tripp, author of the best selling book “Shepherding a Child’s Heart,” discussion, and questions and answers. The course will be led by Paul and Yolanda Mondragon, parents of 8 children themselves. Shepherding a Child’s heart is a gospel-based approach to parenting. It’s based on the message that the human heart is naturally sinful and all that we need to be saved and to know God is found in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Crawford

Pastor Michael Crawford of Freedom Church visited Cornerstone on January 20th and gave a report of the progress of the work in downtown Baltimore. Pastor Crawford was sent out by Cornerstone in July 2009 to do church planting work in downtown Baltimore.

Fall Gospel Conference:

Our Fall Gospel Conference was held over the weekend of Nov. 6-8. Our guest speaker was Dr. Brian Borgman, pastor of Grace Community Church, Minden, NV. Pastor Borgman preached a series of messages on “Feelings and Faith: Cultivating Godly Emotions in the Christian Life,” the subject of his book published by Crossway. We plan on hosting a gospel conference each Fall. Our objective is to showcase the gospel as the power of God for salvation and Christian living.
