The church officers of Cornerstone believe that the proposed Timbisha off-reservation gambling casino in Ridgecrest will be harmful overall for the community.  From a moral perspective, we agree with the Southern Baptist Convention's position on the sin of gambling.  From an economic and social perspective, we agree with the Institute for American Values.  We hope and pray that the Ridgecrest City Council will not allow the proposed project to go forward.
